Corralitos
Location and Flavor
Corralitos is a small, agricultural community (population ~
2,400) located in the inland Aptos hills of Santa Cruz County
on the Central Coast of California. As with its northern neighbor,
the historic and upscale Aptos Village, horse and country properties
punctuate the landscape.
Beautiful, secluded, inviting, Corralitos sits at elevation
of 270 feet and is surrounded by apple orchards, vineyards and
redwoods. Yet, it is only a few minutes drive to Pacific Coast
beaches.
The small town of Corralitos is famous for its fine apple orchards
and its town market, which smokes its own meat and sausage.
Just a few miles south of the town of Corralitos lies one of
the richest agricultural valleys in the United States and the "Strawberry
Capital of the World," the Pajaro Valley. The famous beach
and surf town of Santa Cruz on the beautiful Monterey Bay is
only a 15-mile drive from Corralitos. The town of Watsonville
is only 4 miles away. The agricultural community of Corralitos
with its close proximity to San Jose, and other Silicon Valley
cities, includes computer and other high tech professionals.
